The last chance to party before the big day
It's now pretty common for a Shawlands stag party to last for more than one evening, hence the increase of stag weekends. It seems as if the event gets longer and longer with every new generation! And we've seen more and more companies enter the stag weekend market, focused on making life easier for the best man . But obviously they will charge a premium for arranging it all.
Since you're on our site we assume you need to think about the stag weekend. That's going to include everything from setting the date and location, organising the activities and entertainment, and of course keeping the groom somewhere between sober and hammered. This site focuses on the best ideas for things to do as well as things to buy to liven up the Shawlands stag do.
There are so many
great things to do on a stag weekend, including
Drive a supercar, Fishing, tennis, golf and kayaking.
Sometimes the best man just likes to organise the activity alone, and create a huge surprise for everyone, but we recommend involving the whole group, if for nothing more than ensuring people bring the right clothing!
Not all of these are available in Shawlands so you may want to consider other locations. Marriage is a wonderful institution, but who wants to live in an institution?
Get ready for a great Shawlands stag weekend, or at least a brilliant night!
And then it's time to get the boys heads ready for the fun that's going to follow. Traditionally the stag would be paraded around a selection of local pubs and the best bars, followed by a small amount of food and a then on to a night club.
But of course there other options from taking in a little bit of comedy, sitting down and actually eating a decent meal (!!!) and of course the almost compulsory strip club.
Special considerations. It's common sense to consider what the stag likes and doesn't like, but not always so obvious to think about the rest of the guests. Ages, dietary needs, mobility needs and even just broad-mindedness all needs to be considered. Oh, and of course if little brother or father-in-law are attending, that may have a huge impact on the types of activity you choose.
And please please please make sure that you and the other guests know that it's entirely inappropriate to talk about the specifics of the stag at any point during the wedding, even if you're certain no-one else is listening.
It wasn't long ago that a stag weekend outside of the UK was seen as incredibly unusual, but with the arrival of cheap international flights (as well as the Eurostar) it's almost normal. And there are certainly some unusual stag weekends possible, further away than Shawlands!
