Stag Weekends - the greatest invention of the 21st Century
It's now pretty common for a SW9 stag party to last for more than one evening, hence the increase of stag weekends. It seems as if the event gets longer and longer with every new generation! There's been a sharp increase in the number of companies setting up to help the best man plan the perfect stag weekend . But obviously they will charge a premium for arranging it all.
Since you're on our site we assume you need to think about the stag weekend. That's going to include everything from setting the date and location, organising the activities and entertainment, and of course keeping the groom somewhere between sober and hammered. This site focuses on the best ideas for things to do as well as things to buy to liven up the SW9 stag do.
There are so many
great things to do on a stag weekend, including
Horse riding, Horse racing, Indoor skydiving and 5 a side football.
Although extreme activity can be great fun, it's definitely a good idea to have a chat with the stag in advance, just to get a sense of what he'd like to do.
Not all of these are available in SW9 so you may want to consider other locations. No such thing as a sober stag
Get ready for a great SW9 stag weekend, or at least a brilliant night!
And then it's time to get the boys heads ready for the fun that's going to follow. Traditionally the stag would be paraded around a selection of local pubs and the best bars, followed by a small amount of food and a then on to a night club.
But of course there other options from taking in a little bit of comedy, sitting down and actually eating a decent meal (!!!) and of course the almost compulsory strip club.
On the big night, make sure that you keep the stag conscious. It's very easy, in the excitement of the night, to push more and more beer in the stag's direction, only to find out that at 9pm he's literally under the table, unable to carry on. That's not the kind of fun that he, or anyone else really wants. So pace the evening, keep an eye on what the other guests are pouring, and make sure he has the night of his life!
And please please please make sure that you and the other guests know that it's entirely inappropriate to talk about the specifics of the stag at any point during the wedding, even if you're certain no-one else is listening.
It wasn't long ago that a stag weekend outside of the UK was seen as incredibly unusual, but with the arrival of cheap international flights (as well as the Eurostar) it's almost normal. And there are certainly some unusual stag weekends possible, further away than SW9!
